Tuesday’s Brilliant Brushes (P2) | Day Classes

Acrylic Painting Classes A series of 4 - 6 weekly classes / lessons makes a course with the main focus on acrylic painting. Each daytime course has a maximum of 6 participants to allow one-to-one guidance.

All courses are suitable for beginners right through to advanced painters as the first lesson will determine which level of learning is right for you. This means you can take all 5 courses and continue your learning throughout the year, or you can enroll in the six-week course that fits your schedule and then enroll in another one later in the year to pick up where you left off.

Each series of 6 lessons has an underlying theme (eg fruit, florals, landscapes, architecture, abstraction) however the flow of the course is the same which allows us to work with you on your individual needs.

If you are just beginning to paint we will lead you through some tuition on value, temperature, colour mixing and basic techniques before applying them in a small painting. Your learning will be enhanced through discussions on different types of brushes and their application, paint brands and formulations, and the properties of the many different surfaces available.

For intermediate painters a topic to enhance your skills will be negotiated. Each set of lessons will build on your existing knowledge base. You will be guided through the use of mediums and additives, styles and approaches.

For more advanced painters, the classes will provide support, suggestions on how to achieve your painting goals and guidance to develop your own self-expression and style. And yes, you can start a larger work in one course and roll it through to the next course as sometimes 6 weeks is just not enough time.

Contact us for more information on the themes for each series of classes or jump right in and book your spot!
