For children age 5 up to late teens. Acrylics and watercolours are explored. Painting skills including brush techniques, colour mixing / theory, and the importance of the under drawing are taught and practiced in a non-judgmental, small group, supportive environment. Students work towards a small, finished painting each term. Embedded outcomes include:

• Hand-eye coordination and fine motor skill development through brush handling
• Creative decision making and critical thinking practice
• Media exploration and technique development
• Visual literacy and visual understanding enhancement
